About the Role
SAMI Airbus is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their Operations organization in Riyadh. This role is part of the contract with the Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia and will be based in Riyadh, reporting to the C295 MRO Manager. The position is full-time and requires 2-5 years of experience.
Role Context and Responsibilities
As a member of the Maintenance Department, the Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the PSS C295 fleet within a Customer Services environment. This involves undertaking aircraft maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks, conducting quality checks, and completing all necessary documentation in accordance with company and customer procedures. The technician will also perform duties as assigned by the Team/Shift Leader, ensuring timely completion of work and adherence to quality requirements.
- Verify aircraft status, including scheduled tasks and deferred items, ensuring the aircraft is serviceable.
- Sign the Release to Service for aircraft when applicable.
- Ensure all performed work is accurately recorded on appropriate paperwork and signed for progressively.
- Maintain correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
- Check tools and GSEs for condition and expiration dates before commencing maintenance activities.
- Inspect components and parts for damage or leaks and confirm documentation applicability before starting maintenance.
- Adhere to all company, regulatory, and Health and Safety procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must hold an FAA or EASA Part-66 B1/B2 licensed aircraft technician qualification. ICAO licenses will also be considered. Additionally, completion of a C-295 Aircraft Maintenance Type Training Course, approved by Part 147, is required. The role requires more than two (2) years of experience in C-295 aircraft maintenance within the last six (6) years, along with at least three (3) years of overall aeronautical experience.
Required Skills and Competencies
Essential skills for this position include a negotiation level of English language proficiency, specifically in technical and aeronautical contexts. Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities are crucial. The ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to different environments is also necessary. Candidates are expected to maintain the highest standards in terms of quality, reliability, and safety.
Work Location and Type
This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with potential work also occurring in Al-Kharj. The role is part of the Operations organization supporting the contract with the Ministry of Interior.
