Job Description
About the Role
Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co. is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join its Finance team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This is a full-time position requiring a professional with a strong background in accounting principles and systems.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounting Supervisor will oversee and manage various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing General Ledger operations, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Overseeing Accounts Payable functions, such as invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, payment cycles, and withholding tax.
- Supervising Accounts Receivable activities, including collections, credit control, customer reconciliation, and aging analysis.
- Facilitating ERP implementation, including data migration, user training, and go-live support.
- Collaborating with external auditors, preparing audit schedules, and resolving audit queries.
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting and performing bank reconciliations.
- Managing intercompany transactions and ensuring compliance with IFRS and Saudi GAAP standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
- A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or senior General Ledger (GL) role.
- Proven experience in ERP implementation, including data migration, user training, and go-live support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), specifically in General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA) modules.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting, bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, IFRS standards, and Saudi GAAP requirements.
Key Skills and Understanding
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong command of:
- General Ledger operations and closing procedures.
- Accounts Payable processes, including vendor management and tax implications.
- Accounts Receivable functions, focusing on collections and credit control.
- Working effectively with external auditors.
- Financial reporting frameworks and accounting standards.
Work Location and Type
This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
