About the Assistant Director of Engineering Role

Grand Hyatt is seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position involves supporting the Director of Engineering in the efficient and economic operation of the department, ensuring all operating departments receive necessary services, and maintaining the property's equipment, building, and grounds in optimal condition.

Core Responsibilities

The Assistant Director of Engineering will play a key role in the daily operations of the Engineering Department. This includes assisting the Director in managing departmental functions to ensure the smooth and cost-effective provision of engineering services across the entire operation. A primary focus will be on maintaining all hotel assets, including equipment, the building structure, and external grounds, to the highest standards.

Key Duties and Support Functions

• Support the Director of Engineering in overseeing all departmental activities.
• Ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department.
• Provide necessary engineering services to all other operating departments.
• Maintain equipment, building infrastructure, and grounds in optimum condition.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Ideal candidates will possess a university degree or diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Building Management. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required, preferably in a role such as Assistant Director of Engineering or Engineering Manager. Strong problem-solving abilities, administrative competence, and effective interpersonal skills are essential for success in this position.
