About the Role

Jadeer Logistics is seeking a Customs Clearance Supervisor to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves overseeing daily customs clearance activities to ensure timely, accurate, and fully compliant import and export operations within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Supervisor coordinates shipment documentation, customs declarations, broker follow-up, and interactions with ZATCA, port and airport authorities, and other regulatory bodies. The position also supports operational continuity by guiding the clearance team, resolving shipment exceptions, and ensuring adherence to company procedures, Saudi regulations, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily customs clearance activities for inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely release and delivery.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, transporters, warehouses, shipping lines, and airlines to avoid delays and service disruptions.
  • Review and verify customs documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, delivery orders, and permits before submission.
  • Monitor and follow up customs declarations through Saudi platforms and systems such as FASAH, SABER, and other relevant government portals.
  • Ensure proper HS code classification, duty and tax calculation, and application of import and export procedures in line with Saudi regulations.
  • Support the Customs Clearance Manager in implementing compliance controls, SOPs, and process improvements.
  • Handle shipment exceptions, inspections, customs holds, and documentation discrepancies, and escalate critical matters when required.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and customers to obtain missing documents, approvals, and shipment instructions on time.
  • Track shipment status and maintain accurate operational records, clearance logs, and performance reports.
  • Guide and support customs clearance staff to maintain productivity, accuracy, and high service standards.
  • Ensure all clearance files are properly archived and available for internal audit or regulatory review.
  • Contribute to cost control by minimizing demurrage, storage, penalties, and avoidable customs-related charges.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in customs clearance, freight forwarding, or logistics operations, including supervisory exposure.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of Saudi customs procedures, import/export documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated competencies in Saudi customs regulations, tariff structures, HS code classification, and import/export compliance.
  • Proficiency with relevant government platforms such as FASAH and SABER.
  • Ability to accurately review shipping and customs documents, identify discrepancies, and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Good supervisory capabilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Incoterms and freight documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
