Role Summary

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Delivery Captain to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves the timely and careful delivery of customer orders and collection of returns. The Delivery Captain is responsible for ensuring the safe transport of goods within the assigned region, maintaining vehicle condition, and adhering to delivery schedules. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily deliveries to wholesale and retail outlets.
• Execute last-mile customer deliveries.
• Verify orders before delivery.
• Collect returns for warehouse as assigned.
• Collect orders from shops for last-mile delivery.
• Collect cash from e-commerce COD customers and hand over as per procedure.
• Process credit card payments for COD e-commerce customers using a credit card machine.
• Complete all required processes in Fareye.
• Conduct shop-to-shop transfers.
• Collect necessary documents from shops during returns.
• Report all incidents, misplaced, or lost packages to the Logistics Distribution Department.
• Comply strictly with assigned routes and schedules.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks as needed.
• Report all vehicle maintenance issues.
• Maintain the cleanliness of assigned vehicles, both inside and out.
• Ensure the company vehicle is used exclusively for company business.
• Report any accidents immediately.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic and road safety regulations.
• Receive all operating instructions via the Logistics Distribution Department.
• Work within, promote, and identify improvements in the company’s Quality Management System as per ISO 9001 standards.
• Immediately report any breach in procedures, company policy, or security to a supervisor or management.
• Follow, develop, and improve standard processes, procedures, and work instructions, and promote adherence by staff.
• Report all incidents, of any nature and cause, to the immediate superior, completing all necessary documentation promptly and accurately.
• Research continuously to improve all warehouse operations according to company objectives.
• Ensure workplace health, safety, and environment requirements as per OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 are met, and take responsibility for building and stock security.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.

• Ability to ensure goods are safely secured during transit.
• Capability to perform vehicle loading and unloading.
• Proficiency in identifying the quickest routes to destinations.
