Job Summary

Assystem Radicon is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves leading structural engineering activities across various projects, ensuring technical excellence, and managing the development of structural designs for buildings and infrastructure. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering team, allocating activities and providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Oversee the development of structural engineering designs, including concept studies, system selection, and detailed design for various structures (concrete, steel, composite, foundations, basements, roofs).
• Ensure appropriate development, analysis, checking, and technical review of structural analysis models, calculations, and design reports.
• Lead the preparation and review of structural design basis reports, criteria, calculations, drawings, and tender documentation.
• Ensure structural designs comply with Saudi Building Code, local authority requirements, and international standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, BS EN, Eurocodes).
• Coordinate technical aspects with relevant Saudi authorities and municipalities for submissions and approvals.
• Manage multidisciplinary coordination with architecture, civil, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural systems effectively.
• Lead the implementation of BIM requirements within the structural engineering discipline, coordinating with BIM Managers and participating in clash-detection reviews.
• Perform technical reviews of structural designs and calculations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with Assystem's Quality Management System.
• Represent the structural engineering discipline in client and stakeholder meetings, presenting design concepts and resolving technical issues.
• Provide tender and construction support, including reviewing technical submissions, shop drawings, and addressing site structural issues.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering, structural optimization, and sustainable design solutions, considering embodied carbon and material efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing structural engineering teams and projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• Strong understanding of Saudi Building Code and relevant international structural engineering standards.
• Experience with BIM and digital engineering tools.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
