About the Role

Arabian Drilling Co. is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Maintenance SME to join our team in Al Khobar. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of mechanical maintenance operations across our drilling assets. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing maintenance management systems and upholding technical integrity.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Mechanical Maintenance SME is responsible for administering and optimizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to enhance operational efficiency. This involves overseeing the technical integrity and quality of all planned maintenance tasks, driving continuous process improvements, and providing essential technical support for investigations into failures and evaluations of proposed changes within mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage planned maintenance activities and ensure stringent quality control standards are met.
• Administer and optimize the maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Oversee change management processes and assess their cost impact on mechanical operations.
• Lead failure investigations and provide expert technical support.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of all maintenance activities and outcomes.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in mechanical maintenance processes and systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Total Years of Experience: A minimum of 12 years of experience in mechanical maintenance.
• Relevant Experience:
  • Proven experience as a field technician with maintenance equipment (*, Chief Electrician, Electronic Technician).
  • Demonstrated experience in a mechanical maintenance role within the drilling or a related heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of rig equipment and maintenance workflows.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Experience in reliability engineering and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and regulatory compliance.
