About the Role

Al-Dawaa Medical Services Co. (صيدليات الدواء) is seeking a Pharmacist to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience and involves preparing and dispensing medications and cosmetics, ensuring prescription accuracy, and contributing to educational initiatives.

Role Overview

The Pharmacist will play a key role in patient care by accurately dispensing medications and cosmetics. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in assessing prescriptions and active participation in internal and external educational programs to enhance performance and patient understanding.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications and cosmetics to patients.
• Assess physician orders (prescriptions) for appropriate dosing, potential drug interactions, and allergies, taking necessary action to resolve or communicate potential issues.
• Contribute to Al-Dawaa Medical Services Co. (DMSCO) internal and/or external educational or performance enhancement programs.
• Prepare periodical orders from the main warehouse for all required or needed pharmacy items.
• Monitor the stock status for all pharmacy items in accordance with DMSCO policies and procedures.
• Receive, inspect, and report all orders received by the pharmacy from the main warehouse as per DMSCO policies and procedures.
• Communicate and educate customers about any items they are interested in.
• Provide counseling for patients and/or customers relative to their specific needs.
• Automate all pharmacy activities according to DMSCO policies and procedures, where applicable.
• Supervise subordinates for all activities related to pharmacy practice.
• Adhere to Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health (MOH) rules and regulations.
• Cooperate with management to implement DMSCO strategies.
• Report any non-compliance with DMSCO quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to assess prescriptions for accuracy and safety.
• Understanding of pharmaceutical stock management and ordering processes.

Work Environment and Compliance

This role operates within a pharmacy setting, requiring adherence to all established DMSCO policies and procedures, as well as strict compliance with Saudi Arabia MOH rules and regulations. The Pharmacist will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality and patient care.
