About the Role

Pace | Architecture, Engineering + Planning is seeking a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the financial and contractual success of our construction projects. The role requires a professional with 5 to 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

Role Purpose

The Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in project execution by overseeing all aspects of quantity surveying on-site. This includes comprehensive cost management, meticulous contract administration, and efficient procurement processes. The position is central to maintaining project financial health and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and manage project contracts, including bills of quantities (BOQ), and handle contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, including sourcing materials and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety requirements.
  • Generate regular reports on project progress, costs, and encountered issues, communicating effectively with stakeholders such as clients, contractors, and project managers.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cost, schedule, and quality to prevent litigation and claims.
  • Oversee and manage all on-site quantity surveying activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports, monitoring project costs to ensure adherence to budget.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A Post graduate diploma in Quantity Surveying is considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the AEC industry.
  • Essential experience in site supervision.
