Services Specialist Customer Service Management

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Services Specialist for Customer Service Management to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves serving as the primary point of contact for internal Project Managers and Service Managers, ensuring effective communication and high-quality service delivery. The specialist will manage critical project and services workflows, resolve internal process inquiries, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational objectives.

Role Overview

The Services Specialist will be instrumental in managing various operational and financial processes within the organization. This position requires a proactive problem-solver with a focus on customer success and operational excellence, contributing to the delivery of reliable energy solutions that customers depend on daily. The role involves significant interaction with internal teams and adherence to regional and country-specific regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the Order-to-Remittance (OTR) process and tools, including order bookings, revenue recognition reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the creation, structuring, and maintenance of hardware and services projects within SAP.
• Resolve technical issues in ERP systems by engaging with the Digital Technology (DT) team.
• Support the billing team with invoicing, including creating cancel/rebill workflows as needed, while understanding country-specific rules and financial implications.
• Request invoices and credit notes from the billing team and coordinate invoice dispatch with e-invoicing teams to ensure compliance with country-specific tax regulations.
• Support the SAP Intercompany Billing Solution (IBS) process for internal orders and related tasks.
• Provide regional country-specific tax invoicing support, acting as a point of contact for the Tax Team and DT team.
• Assist with regional statutory audits, including SOX, ISO, and other quarterly and annual audits.
• Support the development of financial instruments on a project-by-project basis, such as letters of credit negotiation, bank communication, and bank guarantee issuance tasks.
• Generate Purchase Order requisitions for external suppliers and manage goods receipts when necessary.
• Follow up with Accounts Payable teams or raise tickets to resolve vendor payable issues related to banking details or invoice submission errors.
• Understand revenue recognition lag rules for quarterly revenue recognition (Ship Dates vs. Revenue Recognition Dates).
• Run projects through the TECO checklist to ensure no outstanding financial or project completion issues.
• Drive resolution with Service Managers and Project Managers to correct project defects such as missing plan costs, incorrect plan revenue, and other details in the SAP ERP system.
• Support order booking, revenue recognition, and billing processes for non-SAP countries according to established procedures.
• Support Project Managers on project metrics to decrease unbilled and past-due receivables, contributing to cash management.
• Assist with in-country Arabic language requirements, including SAP Saudi Text updating, invoice translation, Saudi VAT portal coordination, Customer Master KYC processes, and other Arabic language support.
• Support the business in completing monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks related to order booking, revenue recognition, and invoicing to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Undertake ad hoc assignments as requested by Services or Project Management leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated understanding of OTR processes, SAP, and ERP systems.
• Experience with financial reporting, invoicing, and tax regulations.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple workflows.
• Proficiency in Arabic language for in-country requirements is essential.
