Yokogawa is seeking an SME Oil & Gas Upstream to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading business development and providing technical expertise within the Oil & Gas Upstream sector, contributing to customer success and Yokogawa's growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Oil & Gas (Upstream) business development in collaboration with internal stakeholders, including YMA E&S BU and regional sales members.
  • Build rapport with Oil & Gas (Upstream) customers to gain insight into their emerging and potential issues and challenges.
  • Propose appropriate products and solutions that offer mutual benefits for customers and Yokogawa.
  • Proactively engage customers to understand their business direction and investment plans, initiating sales activities early to secure opportunities.
  • Focus on Digitalization & Optimization opportunities within the Oil & Gas (Upstream) sector, collaborating with YMA’s solution team to develop optimal solutions.
  • Educate sales and solution members across YHQ, YMA, and other regions on Oil & Gas (Upstream) as a technical advisor or consultant.
  • Extend similar services to applications within Refining & Petrochemicals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Process, Chemical, Subsurface Sciences, Industrial Automation, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in operations and/or projects.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business development, pre-sales, consulting, or an engineering discipline.
  • Several years of experience in digital transformation or related fields such as IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or management consulting.
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas processes, optimization techniques, and the latest digital technologies in this field (*, data analysis, robotics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning).
  • Strong understanding of energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions, and climate change impacts.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective digital transformation strategies.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth.
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Middle East & Africa region.

  • Thorough knowledge of the Oil and Gas domain.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest digitalization technologies and their use/impact on the Oil & Gas sector, including IIOT concepts.
  • Knowledge of current market trends.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and pain points.
  • Expertise to identify and accurately articulate why a client does or does not want a change based on their business objectives and challenges.
  • Adaptability to changing goals and objectives, maintaining focus on mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Customer-centric approach, collaborating with customers and leveraging partner insights using common terminology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and skills to independently identify and understand key buying influences for opportunities.
  • Ability to assess buyer sentiments regarding proposed solutions, secure internal coaches within buyer organizations, and leverage strategic coaches to support partner relationships.
  • Capability to identify client-specific differentiators and connect solutions to client objectives.
  • Proficiency in software for data analysis, charting, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Aptitude for developing and identifying industry/application-wide digital technologies suitable for business use.
  • Capacity to create an environment conducive to successful interaction and customer satisfaction.
