Social Studies Teacher

About the Role

مدارس المجموعة العالمية (ISG) is seeking a Social Studies Teacher to join its dynamic department. This full-time position is based in the Eastern region, specifically in Al Khobar and Dhahran, and focuses on teaching Middle School students. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection).
• Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with established curriculum goals and objectives.
• Deliver an active, hands-on, and student-centered program for middle school social studies courses, including AP courses.
• Maintain accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation.
• Evaluate and grade student classwork and assignments.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
• Provide additional support to students requiring extra help with coursework outside of class.
• Observe, monitor, and record student progress.
• Respond appropriately to the diverse individual needs and abilities within the classroom.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, course materials, and instructional methods.
• Stay informed of developments in the field through current literature, peer discussions, and professional conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues on teaching and research issues.
• Support district and school initiatives with professionalism.
• Demonstrate creativity in teaching approaches.
• Serve on academic or administrative committees addressing institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
• Provide supervision for after-school activities or serve as a coach/assistant coach for athletic teams.
• Maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal and/or Assistant Principal.
