7Thousands is developing Magnet, an enterprise-grade SaaS platform designed for comprehensive restaurant management, including POS, delivery, finance, and operations. This cloud-native, multi-tenant system prioritizes scalability, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability, aiming to support thousands of businesses across multiple regions. We are seeking Senior Technical Consultants & Architects to join our team in Al Qassim, working on a full-time basis.

The Opportunity

This role is for experienced technical professionals with at least 5 years of hands-on production experience. You will be instrumental in building, reviewing, challenging, and strengthening our architecture and engineering decisions. This is not a junior or mid-level development position. The initial engagement focuses on high-level Architecture Review, Technical Consulting, and Design Validation, with the potential to evolve into a long-term technical advisory or engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your specialization, responsibilities will include:

• For Senior SaaS Backend Architects (Python / Django):
  • Reviewing overall system architecture and backend design decisions.
  • Improving scalability, maintainability, reliability, and fault tolerance.
  • Reviewing database design (PostgreSQL), API architecture, caching, and async processing.
  • Evaluating financial, billing workflows, and subscription platforms.
• For Senior AWS / Kubernetes / DevOps Architects:
  • Reviewing cloud infrastructure and designing production-grade AWS environments.
  • Designing Kubernetes deployment strategies and infrastructure best practices.
  • Reviewing security architecture, networking, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Improving deployment automation and reviewing monitoring/alerting systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• General Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of hands-on production experience in relevant technical fields.
• For Senior SaaS Backend Architects:
  • 5+ years of professional backend development with Python.
  • Strong expertise in Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Experience designing large-scale SaaS platforms and Multi-Tenant Architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, indexing, optimization) and Redis/Celery.
  • Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD, and REST API design.
• For Senior AWS / Kubernetes / DevOps Architects:
  • 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture.
  • Extensive production experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, CloudFront).
  • Strong Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitHub Actions expertise.
  • Experience with production observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Preferred General Experience:
  • Event-Driven Architecture
  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • CQRS
  • Outbox/Saga Patterns
  • Idempotency
  • Payment/billing engines

Work Location and Engagement

This full-time position offers flexibility, allowing you to work either on-site from our headquarters or completely remotely. The engagement model begins with high-level architecture review and consulting, with potential for long-term advisory or engineering roles.
