About the EAF Operator Role

KUWAIT STEEL is seeking an EAF Operator to join their team in Al Qatif. This full-time position involves performing daily operational tasks related to the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) to ensure production efficiency, equipment reliability, and product quality while adhering to safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

The EAF Operator will be responsible for a range of operational duties essential to the furnace's function. This includes preparing the furnace for operation, managing consumables, taking samples, performing slag removal, and providing support during melting and tapping processes. Adherence to established procedures and safety standards is paramount for all assigned equipment, including the Ladle Bay, EAF, FTP, Additive Feeding, and LF.

Operational Duties and Monitoring

• Execute routine operational tasks in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
• Monitor operational parameters and perform necessary standard adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of all operational activities.
• Immediately report any abnormal conditions, deviations, or safety issues to the supervisor.

Supervision and Safety Accountability

This role operates under the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor. The EAF Operator will exercise independent responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the FTP system. A critical aspect of the role is the authority and responsibility to halt any unsafe activities or processes to protect personnel and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma.
• No prior experience is required for this position.

Work Environment and Compliance

The EAF Operator will work within KUWAIT STEEL's facility in Al Qatif. The role requires strict compliance with IMS (QMS, EMS, and OHSAS) standards to ensure a safe working environment and operational excellence. This position is full-time.
