About the Role

Al Jomaih Bottling Plants is seeking a highly experienced and meticulously organized Warehouse Manager for Raw Materials to oversee all warehouse activities in Buraidah, Qassim, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is vital for ensuring the efficient management of raw materials, spare parts, and promotional items, directly impacting production line requirements and overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, implementing best practices, and contributing to the company's growth objectives.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all warehouse activities, ensuring the availability of raw materials, spare parts, and various promotional items in the required quantities, quality, and on time to meet the needs of all relevant departments.
  • Oversee the inventory of raw materials and spare parts to ensure sufficient quantities are available to meet production line requirements.
  • Maintain warehouse custody and supervise daily and monthly inventory counts, reconciling physical counts with Oracle system records and investigating any discrepancies to facilitate monthly closing.
  • Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of materials, in line with delivery schedules.
  • Propose projects related to raw materials, including renovations, expansions, equipment upgrades, and budget-related requirements within the annual operating plan, to support future business growth.
  • Monitor warehouse activities, conduct time and motion studies, and propose techniques for loading, mixing, storing, and issuing materials for production, as well as shipping to sub-locations, to enhance productivity.
  • Monitor physical counts of raw materials, identify inventory locations, and ensure all inventory movements are recorded weekly in the inventory control system for all Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) listed in the Bill of Materials.
  • Optimize and propose Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and measurement tools to improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for the raw material warehouse, such as productivity, number of boxes loaded per hour, and breakage and shrinkage rates.
  • Evaluate work conditions related to personnel and equipment, including forklift speeds, logistics aisles, and adherence to safety equipment usage, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Investigate work-related incidents and recommend procedural changes to prevent recurrence, ensuring compliance with safe environment principles.
  • Oversee the execution of the raw material plan and coordinate with the Material Availability Manager (MAM) to resolve any issues or changes, ensuring compliance with the approved plan.
  • Set objectives and budgets for the department, manage activities according to priorities, and develop and evaluate the performance of subordinates, motivating them to achieve business goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a warehouse management role.
  • Very good command of both English and Arabic, spoken and written.
  • Excellent computer skills, with a particular focus on Microsoft Excel.
  • Good knowledge of the Oracle system, specifically the Inventory module.
  • Completion of training courses in product handling and storage conditions.
