Job Description

Job Summary:

The Salon Manager is fully responsible for the daily management and efficient operation of the salon.

 Her responsibilities include ensuring high-quality services are provided to customers, managing and training staff, overseeing inventory and budget, and implementing marketing strategies to increase revenue and profitability. 

The Salon Manager aims to create a positive and attractive work environment for both employees and customers, and to ensure the salon's goals are achieved.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operations Management:
    • Oversee appointment scheduling and efficient organization.
    • Ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the salon and maintain health and safety standards.
    • Monitor and maintain salon equipment and tools.

  • Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and evaluate the performance of the team (hairdressers, beauticians, receptionists, etc.).
    • Determine staff work schedules and supervise their attendance.
    • Motivate staff and foster team spirit and cooperation.
    • Identify training and development needs for staff and implement appropriate training programs.
    • Address any issues or conflicts that may arise among staff.

  • Financial and Inventory Management:
    • Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses and revenues.
    • Manage inventory of products and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
    • Negotiate with suppliers for the best prices and payment terms.
    • Conduct periodic inventory counts.
    • Track payments and invoices.

  • Marketing and Sales:
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, attract new customers, and retain existing ones.
    • Manage the salon's social media channels and website (if applicable).
    • Organize promotions and special events.
    • Analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities.
    • Encourage staff to offer upselling and service upgrades.

  • Customer Service:
    • Ensure an excellent and distinguished customer experience.
    • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with customers.
    • Maintain customer records and preferences.
    • Continuously strive to improve the quality of services provided.

  • Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
    • Ensure the salon complies with all local laws and regulations related to health, safety, and licensing.
    • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.

 

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma as a minimum (preferably a degree in Business Administration or a related field).
  • At least [Number] years of experience in managing a salon or beauty center.
  • Good knowledge of hair, skin, and nail care techniques and methods.
  • Experience in staff management, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Good understanding of financial principles, budget, and inventory management.
  • Good marketing and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in using salon management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
  • Fluency in Arabic (English or other languages is a plus).
