About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Capacity & Capability Project Leader to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This full-time role is central to enhancing repair capabilities and capacity to meet evolving business demands within the organization.

Role Purpose

The Capacity & Capability Project Leader is responsible for leading strategic projects focused on improving repair capability, capacity, and SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) performance. This involves driving strategic capital planning, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to achieve long-term operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process repair capacity analysis and project planning to meet business capability and capacity objectives, including capex, SQDC kaizen, and read across.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of resources, investment strategies, and long-term planning.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, and budgets, while coordinating activities across Shop operations, AMRT, and Sourcing.
• Lead capex project planning and execution, with responsibility for on-time execution, budget management, and providing progress updates to leadership. Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve or escalate issues promptly to maintain project timelines.
• Collaborate with AMRT, global sourcing, and the global capex team for capex equipment requisition, covering equipment specification and selection, Sourcegate+ sourcing process, purchase order placement, and equipment runoff, acceptance, and delivery.
• Support repair facility expansion and site preparation as needed.
• Oversee equipment installation, start-up, and qualification according to GEV standards. Develop TPM standards and maintain thorough documentation of all installation activities and changes for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution, and lead and evaluate the Management of Change (MOC) process for projects.
• Support shop component repair qualifications in collaboration with shop PQE/ME.
• Participate in Kaizen / AWO events and global component team activities to drive continuous improvement, and lead Kaizen teams as needed.
• Provide regular project reporting to leadership, including status updates, budget tracking, schedule performance, and risk assessments.
• Lead Gas Turbine Process qualifications such as coating, heat treatment, welding, and other special processes.

Candidate Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project leadership, particularly within capacity and capability enhancement initiatives. A strong background in strategic capital planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement methodologies is essential for success in this role.
