About the Opportunity

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join the team at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Dammam. This full-time position is ideal for culinary professionals with 2-5 years of experience who are committed to delivering high-quality food preparation and guest satisfaction within a global hospitality brand.

Role Summary

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, responsible for preparing a variety of dishes according to established recipes and quality standards. This position requires meticulous attention to detail in food preparation, presentation, and adherence to all operational guidelines, contributing to a meaningful guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Regulate the temperature of cooking equipment, including ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnishing of all food items.
• Monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared, maintaining accurate food logs.
• Manage freezer storage, including pulling food items for thawing in the refrigerator.
• Prepare cold food items as required.
• Inform the Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials and communicate assistance needed during busy periods.
• Inform Food & Beverage service staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items.

Operational Duties and Team Support

• Assist management in various human resources functions, including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, communicating clearly and professionally.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a culinary role, demonstrating proficiency in food preparation and kitchen operations. This role requires the ability to:

• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
