Commercial Department Manager

About the Role

Al Futtaim Group is seeking a Commercial Department Manager for a full-time position in Dammam. This role involves overseeing daily operations within the Marks and Spencer store, with a focus on sales and customer service in the food and hospitality sector. The manager will be responsible for strategic planning of resources, stock management, and achieving sales targets while enhancing the customer shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate people resources and activities to ensure adequate staffing for sales plan delivery.
• Participate in commercial walk-rounds with the Store Manager and visitors.
• Complete probes and ensure actions are delivered according to protocols.
• Stay updated with key communication documents and take appropriate action.
• Organize resources to maintain optimum stock levels throughout the trading day.
• Coordinate deliveries and operations in line with FIFO (First-In, First-Out) to manage stock accuracy and shelf availability.
• Oversee the implementation of corporate layouts, phase changes, floor plans, and planograms.

Customer Service and Team Leadership

• Ensure all zones, tills, and key service areas are adequately resourced to meet customer demands.
• Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints effectively.
• Enhance customer shopping experiences through personal engagement and connection.
• Model and enforce the 'Service - Doing the Right Thing' mantra and key service behaviors: Being Positive, Being Determined, Taking Ownership & Responsibility, and Being Respectful.
• Provide feedback to team members regarding service delivery and recognize excellent service performance.

Operational Management

The Commercial Department Manager plays a key role in driving profitability through effective cost management and loss minimization. This includes leading and developing a committed team to meet both service and operational standards within the store environment.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience to effectively manage the commercial operations and lead the team.
