About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a COMMI II to join their team in Dammam. This is a full-time position with an experience requirement of 0-1 years.

Core Responsibilities

The COMMI II will be responsible for a range of food preparation and cooking duties. This includes preparing ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing them, as well as washing and peeling fresh produce. The role involves accurately weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to established recipes and quality standards. The COMMI II will also be involved in the preparation of cold foods and will operate various kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers. A key aspect of the role is ensuring food is cooked sufficiently and monitoring food quality throughout the preparation process.

Operational Standards and Safety

Adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures is mandatory. This includes reporting any maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to management, and completing required safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform is essential. The role also requires protecting company assets and maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information. Effective communication is important, involving speaking with others using clear and professional language, and developing positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals.

Physical Demands and Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, or for an entire work shift. Employees must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, which includes bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. The physical demands also involve moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors is also part of the role.
