Database Administrator (DBA)

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in the Eastern region. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting enterprise database environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills across various database systems.

Role Overview

The Database Administrator will be responsible for the comprehensive management and support of our database infrastructure. This includes performing standard DBA activities, ensuring database performance and availability, and collaborating with various teams to meet database requirements. The role is critical for maintaining data integrity and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standard DBA activities, including database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning.
• Manage users, roles, permissions, and database security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and reliability.
• Maintain database documentation, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams on database-related requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise database environments.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Eastern region, offering an opportunity to work within a dedicated technology team at Datamatics Technologies. The salary for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
