Design Manager

About the Role

Ajdan is seeking a Design Manager to lead and manage the design process for luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use developments. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and covers the entire design journey from initial project briefing to handover.

Role Overview

The Design Manager is responsible for ensuring all design outcomes align with the project vision, development strategy, market positioning, operational requirements, approved budget, project timeline, and quality expectations. The role also involves safeguarding the design intent throughout all project stages while balancing technical requirements, commercial objectives, buildability, and long-term asset value.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the design process across various development types.
• Providing feasibility support and concept development.
• Coordinating design efforts and managing external consultants.
• Facilitating authority approvals for design plans.
• Supporting tender processes and construction coordination.
• Ensuring design alignment with project vision, strategy, and market positioning.
• Managing design within approved budgets and project timelines.
• Maintaining quality expectations throughout all design stages.
• Balancing technical requirements, commercial objectives, and buildability.
• Protecting long-term asset value through design integrity.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess a strong background in leading design processes for complex developments, including luxury residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use projects. The role requires comprehensive understanding of the full design journey, from initial concept to project handover, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, within the Eastern region. The Design Manager will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating with various internal and external teams to deliver high-quality design outcomes for Ajdan's diverse portfolio of developments.
