General Manager Sales

About the Role

Future Pipe Industries is seeking a General Manager Sales to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and is central to driving the company's sales strategy and achieving market objectives. The role involves leading the sales team and managing key accounts to ensure sustained growth and profitability.

Strategic Sales Leadership

The General Manager Sales is responsible for developing and executing the yearly sales plan in alignment with Future Pipe Industries' overall strategy. This includes setting targets for various market sectors, maximizing margins, and achieving defined objectives. The role requires a strategic approach to market development and a deep understanding of client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and achieve sales targets across diverse market sectors.
• Build a comprehensive understanding of client and market requirements, aligning with company objectives.
• Increase market share and identify opportunities to exploit new markets.
• Review and update sales achievements against budgets on a monthly basis.
• Ensure timely submission of all quotations and tenders with necessary documentation.
• Negotiate, control, and award projects to meet established targets.
• Enhance customer interaction, satisfaction, and retention through improved standards and technical support.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing key accounts while cultivating new ones across different market sectors.
• Liaise with the Credit Controller to ensure timely receipt of all account payments.

Team Management and Development

A critical aspect of this role involves fostering a high-performance sales team. The General Manager Sales will lead initiatives to attract, recruit, and retain skilled team members, enhancing the work environment to promote engagement and effectiveness.

• Conduct annual performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and development opportunities.
• Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for individual units, ensuring alignment with FPI’s mission and vision.
• Identify key positions and ensure succession plans are in place for target staff.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 13 to 15 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within a relevant industry. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement sales strategies, manage a team, and achieve challenging targets is essential.

Internal and External Collaboration

This role requires extensive collaboration with various internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and successful project delivery. Key communication channels include:

• Internal: VP Sales & Marketing, Area Sales Representatives, Marketing Manager, Regional Proposal Manager, Technical and Sales Support (TSS), Projects Department, Production Department, Delivery Department, Legal, Finance, and PED.
• External: Customers, Consultants, Contractors, End Users, and FPI Representatives.
