About the Role

FNRCO is seeking a skilled Generator Rotor Winder to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading and executing critical activities related to generator rotors, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and production are consistently met. The role requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience in the field.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Generator Rotor Winder will be responsible for the comprehensive management of rotor winding, rewinding, repair, testing, and assembly processes for various generators. A key aspect of this role is to uphold stringent quality, safety, and production requirements throughout all operations. Additionally, the individual will provide essential technical guidance to winding technicians and offer support in troubleshooting issues related to generator rotors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform rotor winding, rewinding, insulation, and coil installation for generators.
  • Conduct repair, testing, and assembly activities for generator rotors.
  • Inspect rotor components thoroughly to identify defects, damage, or insulation failures.
  • Execute various electrical tests, including insulation resistance, surge, continuity, and high-potential testing.
  • Ensure all activities comply with established quality, safety, and production standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to winding technicians.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for generator rotor-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in generator rotor winding or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with large industrial generators, turbines, or other rotating equipment.
  • Familiarity with OEM rotor rewinding procedures for major manufacturers such as GE, Siemens, ABB, and Alstom is preferred.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will operate within a professional industrial setting, contributing to the maintenance and repair of critical power generation equipment.
