About the Role

TalentHive is seeking an experienced and technically skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join an established Saudi organization. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on maintaining equipment reliability and efficiency within an equipment-intensive environment.

Role Context

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in supporting an organization operating across heavy equipment, construction, transportation, logistics, and industrial support services. The role involves working on a diverse fleet of heavy construction and earthmoving machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation across workshops and operational project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical faults on heavy construction and earthmoving equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel-powered heavy machinery.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, gearboxes, and other mechanical components.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and backhoe loaders.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Conduct routine inspections, servicing, component replacements, and mechanical overhauls.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns at workshops and operational project sites.
• Utilize appropriate diagnostic equipment, workshop tools, and technical manuals to identify and resolve faults.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair reports, and Work Order documentation.
• Coordinate with workshop supervisors, maintenance teams, and spare-parts personnel to ensure timely repairs.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, equipment maintenance standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic.
• Proven technical skills in diagnosing and repairing heavy construction and earthmoving equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in an equipment-intensive environment.
