Heavy Transport Operations Supervisor

Sako Arabia Company for Logistics Services is seeking a Heavy Transport Operations Supervisor to oversee daily transport activities in the Eastern region, specifically in Dammam. This full-time role focuses on supervising the movement of oversized, overweight, and project cargo, ensuring operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulations.

Role Overview

The Heavy Transport Operations Supervisor acts as the primary operational focal point for heavy transport movements. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including customers, drivers, and regulatory authorities, to manage and resolve operational challenges and ensure smooth execution of transport plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational focal point during heavy transport movements and respond effectively to unexpected field issues.
• Coordinate with Mizan weigh stations, Traffic Police, permit authorities, and other regulatory bodies to resolve operational obstacles that may impact transportation activities.
• Manage and resolve issues related to vehicle inspections, weigh station requirements, permit compliance, route restrictions, road closures, and authority interventions.
• Provide immediate operational support to drivers and convoy teams during transport execution.
• Escalate critical operational issues and recommend practical solutions to minimize delays and project disruptions.
• Coordinate with customers and authorities when transportation plans require adjustment due to unforeseen circumstances.
• Ensure all transport movements are executed in accordance with approved permits, route restrictions, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in heavy transport operations or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate complex logistical operations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for oversized and overweight cargo movements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern region. The role requires active involvement in field operations and coordination with various external and internal stakeholders to ensure successful transport execution.
