Legal Manager

About the Role

Virtucruit is seeking a Legal Manager to join a reputable energy and drilling services company in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the Legal & Compliance Department by managing contract review, negotiation, compliance, and litigation coordination. The Legal Manager will be instrumental in upholding high-quality legal governance and professional standards within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, including procurement agreements, drilling and oilfield services contracts, and rig build and shipyard contracts.
• Manage engagement with external legal counsel for litigation, advisory, and consultancy matters.
• Ensure the effective implementation and enforcement of legal policies and procedures, including the contract management framework.
• Provide proactive legal advice and support to operational, procurement, and management teams.
• Monitor and manage legal risk across the business, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
• Review and improve internal templates and procedures to standardize contracting processes.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, legal opinions, and reports for senior management.
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Legal on all legal and compliance matters, operating with minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant legal role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex contract negotiations and legal compliance.
• Experience in litigation coordination and engagement with external legal counsel.

Work Environment

This role is based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Dammam, and operates on a full-time basis within the Legal & Compliance Department of an energy and drilling services company.
