About the Mechanical Assembler Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a full-time position in Dammam, Eastern Province. This role is responsible for the accurate and safe assembly, disassembly, and inspection of gas turbine components, adhering strictly to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Mechanical Assembler will perform mechanical assembly of various gas turbine components and modules, including rotors, casings, combustors, blades, vanes, bearings, and auxiliary systems. This involves interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and bills of materials, and following documented processes for bolting, torquing, alignment, and fit-up. Precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, and feeler gauges will be used to verify tolerances and clearances. The role also includes performing component inspections, documenting results, and identifying, reporting, and assisting in the resolution of non-conformances or assembly issues.

Safety and Quality Adherence

Strict adherence to safety procedures, including those for lifting, rigging, and handling heavy or sensitive components, is paramount. The assembler is expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with 5S or site standards. Compliance with all company policies, environmental regulations, and regulatory requirements is mandatory.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

This role requires collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure products meet performance, reliability, and delivery requirements. The assembler will work closely with engineers, quality inspectors, and other technicians to ensure correct assembly and schedule adherence. Support for disassembly, inspection, and reassembly activities during overhauls and repairs is also part of the role. Participation in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and delivery is expected.

Documentation and Reporting

Accurate and timely completion of required documentation, checklists, and electronic records is essential. This includes documenting inspection results in accordance with quality and traceability requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess a technical background in mechanical or electrical assembly. Basic computer skills and a basic knowledge of the English language are also required.
