Job Description

About the Role

Al-Futtaim is seeking a PDI Foreman for a full-time position within Al Futtaim Automotive FAMCO in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role acts as the single point of contact between customers, the Sales team, PDI/Service Operations, Administration, and OEM-related functions. The PDI Foreman is responsible for ensuring vehicles are inspected, prepared, documented, and delivered in line with committed standards and timelines, managing the end-to-end Pre-Delivery Inspection process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and quality completion of Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) activities in line with company and OEM standards.
  • Manage PDI job cards, including accurate system updates, timely closure, and parts tracking.
  • Identify, record, follow up on, and ensure closure of vehicle abnormalities before delivery.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Service, Administration, and OEM teams to ensure vehicles are delivery-ready as committed.
  • Maintain accurate PDI, arrival inspection, and delivery documentation.
  • Monitor vehicle delivery status and provide accurate daily reports to management.
  • Follow up on undelivered vehicles, registration details, and pending actions to support effective delivery planning.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall experience within an automotive dealership environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably within buses or commercial vehicles.
  • Proven experience in service operations, PDI, workshop coordination, or vehicle delivery processes.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of automotive dealership, distributor, workshop, and PDI processes.
  • Technical knowledge of diesel engines, common rail systems, powertrain/driveline, electrical systems, air conditioning, and spare parts.
  • Good understanding of warranty policy, service guidelines, complaint codes, fault codes, repair operation codes, and parts consumption.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP, CRM, or DBM systems.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage delivery commitments.
  • Proactive approach demonstrating strong accountability, ownership, and attention to detail.

The Team and Work Environment

You will be an integral part of the Service team, collaborating closely with Sales, Administration, PDI/Service Operations, and OEM-related stakeholders. The team operates within a dynamic, customer-focused vehicle delivery environment where quality, accuracy, and timely coordination are crucial for meeting delivery commitments and ensuring customer satisfaction.
