About the Process Improvement Engineer Role

Napco National is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to operational efficiency and strategic execution within the organization.

Role Overview and Objectives

This role focuses on leveraging an understanding of the Napco National business environment and objectives to interpret and apply internal policies and procedures. The Process Improvement Engineer will be instrumental in driving efficiency and effectiveness across various business units by analyzing data, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, collect, and interpret raw data from various sources to create reports that aid decision-making.
  • Organize and plan work and project activities to meet objectives efficiently.
  • Gather and analyze data to respond to complex situations and create value-driven solutions.
  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects using adequate resources, tools, and techniques to meet deadlines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Assist the organization in executing strategies set forth by leadership.
  • Communicate and deliver information in a business context both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and comprehensive manner.
  • Conduct auditing and assessments for processes related activities in Napco Flexible Packaging Business Units and Shared Units to identify gaps and weaknesses.
  • Assist stakeholders to identify the root cause and set the action plan for identified gaps.
  • Assist business units to analyze customer surveys and set action plans.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing Principles such as Just In Time (JIT), Six Sigma, Ishikawa, 5S, SMED, PDCA and other related tools.
  • Implement management systems related to occupational health and safety.
  • Understand and interpret legal requirements, regulations, and internal procedures to protect humans, property, and prevent market losses.
  • Create and update indicators for measurement in line with organization objectives and assist stakeholders to analyze the measurement results.
  • Assist the food safety team leader to ensure that the food safety management system is established, implemented, maintained & updated.
  • Organize Food Safety Meetings and follow up on the execution of the action plan.
  • Update the HACCP plan, in coordination with the concerned parties, upon any change that occurs.
  • Conduct floor rounds / SWAB tests on employees and FG’s to ensure compliance with the Hygiene policy and the BRC requirements.
  • Generate technical reports (PID reports, reports requested by leadership) and analyze quality figures.
  • Utilize Process Improvement Tools such as Flowchart, Value Stream Mapping, Cause and Effect Analysis.
  • Propose and implement strategies to address complex systems changes and diagnose improvement opportunities, developing solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools.
  • Align processes, resources planning, and department goals with overall strategy.
  • Efficiently interpret the requirements of any particular Standard and formulate the implementation methods to ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 0-1 years of experience required.
  • Understanding and effective use of standard office equipment, automation systems, and software.
  • Knowledge of National and Foreign languages, both spoken and written.
  • Familiarity with NPS and CSAT concepts.
  • Lead auditor certification in one or many Standards is a plus.
  • Training on the latest BRC issue is required.

Work Environment and Type

This is a full-time position located in Dammam, Eastern Saudi Arabia. The role requires the ability to work efficiently with standard equipment and office automation systems.
