About the Role

Airbus ** is seeking a Process Performance Engineer I to provide technical assistance to Production teams. This role focuses on optimizing industrial processes while adhering to safety, cost, quality, and lead-time criteria. The successful candidate will drive the implementation of solutions to meet company requirements.

Team and Working Environment

This position is within the Airbus * Manufacturing facilities, which assemble aircraft for the A220 and A320 Family. The facility, established in 2015 and expanded in 2019, is a key part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance global competitiveness and strengthen the * aerospace industry. You will join a team passionate about aviation and skilled in areas such as electrical, structure, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce PERT/GANTT diagrams and define task dependencies.
  • Perform line balancing for each MSN and define the critical path.
  • Analyze industrial capacities and calculate workforce and resource needs.
  • Build scenarios to simulate different station/line configurations.
  • Contribute to the definition of industrial architecture.
  • Study and optimize workflows, evaluating existing processes for improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in determining ideal work process durations through time observations.
  • Stay updated on A320 best practices in process optimization.
  • Identify deviations and perform process/station optimization.
  • Conduct VA/NVA (Value Add / Non-Value Add) analysis.
  • Detect and analyze misalignments in work orders.
  • Update work packages within and across stations.
  • Process improvement proposals.
  • Align (AOS) Airbus Operating System focus areas to the established plan.

Qualifications and Experience

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering. Alternatively, candidates without a degree but with 3 years of Airbus experience or 5 years of industry experience will be considered. A strong understanding of Lean methodology is essential. The position requires a high degree of flexibility and initiative. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.

Additional Requirements

  • Less than 5% domestic and international travel is required.
  • Must be eligible for employment in the * and able to work without current or future need for visa sponsorship.

This is a full-time position. The required experience level for this role is between 2 to 5 years.
