  • Read, interpret, and analyze P&IDs, engineering drawings, and specifications to ensure proper equipment selection and system integration.
  • Conduct wellsite surveys prior to project execution, assessing site conditions, verifying infrastructure readiness, and identifying potential challenges.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and field personnel to ensure seamless installation and operation of equipment.
  • Work closely with vendors, fabricators, and installation teams to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, procurement specialists, and field service teams, to streamline project workflows.
  • Ensure all equipment and systems adhere to local regulations, international standards (API, ASME, ISO), and ARAMCO requirements where applicable.
  • Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare associated cost estimates while controlling costs throughout the project.
  • Maintain detailed records of project progress, prepare technical reports, and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Interact with customers to ensure safe and efficient field operations and provide guidance to the internal engineering team for interface equipment design.
  • Assure adequate third-party Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) of any equipment for the project.
  • Record all non-conformances and non-production time, reporting these to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for future operations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least two years of project management or coordination experience.
  • Hands-on experience in reading and interpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Experience working with surface production equipment and managing fabrication and installation processes.
  • System integration experience with intelligent completion systems is a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of Well Interventions (slickline, e-line, pumping, coiled tubing), Completions, DST/TCP, Surface Testing, and operations is a plus.
  • Experience in ESP and other completion equipment design is a plus.
  • IADC WellSharp or IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Certificate is a plus.
  • Experience in conducting well on paper, intervention campaigns, and/or System Integration Testing (SIT) is a plus.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Highly perceptive listening skills and openness to ideas from others.
  • Ability to take initiative, work with minimal supervision, and remain committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • Resilience and adaptability to dynamic environments and shifting project demands.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative approach, fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The Project Engineer role requires a combination of office-based work and field visits to fabrication yards, vendor facilities, and oilfield wellsites. The position involves extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs.) and work in elevated areas or confined spaces. The engineer must be physically capable of wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots. Fieldwork may expose the individual to varying temperatures, humidity, loud noise, dust, fumes, and high-pressure equipment, necessitating strict adherence to safety protocols.
