About the Role

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for a full-time position in Dammam. This role is crucial for ensuring all incoming deliveries meet Panda's stringent specifications and comply with local (SASO/SFDA) and international quality and food safety standards. The primary objective is to prevent sub-standard products from entering the Panda Food Chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule and prepare for daily fresh deliveries.
• Adhere to Distribution Center (DC) receiving Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product receiving plans and apply sampling plans in coordination with the Team Leader (TL).
• Receive and verify the temperature of vendor vehicles and products before offloading and prior to dispatching deliveries to stores.
• Conduct thorough product inspections and provide recommendations to the TL and Assistant QC Manager regarding the acceptance or rejection of deliveries, based on established Produce & Meat Product Specifications.
• Document all non-conformities of received or rejected items with photographic evidence and report them to the TL.
• Accurately complete all required receiving log documents and checklists at the time of inspection.
• Confirm correct and best practices for product storage, aligning with product categories and appropriate storage conditions.
• Ensure full conformance to Panda's Receiving Processes.
• Perform Brix & Firmness checks for all relevant fruits according to specifications.
• Monitor the pest control system within the Distribution Center (DC) to prevent pest infestations.

Qualifications

• Education: A Diploma is required; a college-level education is preferred.
• Experience: Mandatory previous experience in a related field of work, with a preference for experience in Fresh, Produce, or Grocery Food sectors.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) regulations established by the Corporate QA Team.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and demonstrate self-motivation.
• Strong leadership and effective decision-making capabilities.
• Aptitude for recommending improvements to existing standards and processes.
• Capacity to reject deliveries and provide clear, technical justifications for such decisions.
• Adequate literacy skills, including proficiency in computer and email usage, reporting, digital camera operation, and industrial thermometer usage.
