Position Summary: Scientific Editor, Nuclear Medicine

Cactus Communications is seeking a Scientific Editor specializing in Nuclear Medicine to join their team. This contract position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, and involves providing expert language editing services to researchers globally.

Role Purpose

The Scientific Editor will leverage their subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine research manuscripts. This role ensures scientific accuracy and discipline-specific clarity, while enhancing the overall quality of the language. The editor's contributions help researchers publish their work in prestigious journals worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content, preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
  • Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
  • Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
  • Edit manuscripts to meet high standards of academic writing, ensuring the final text is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences.
  • Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to target journal requirements when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A strong academic background in Nuclear Medicine or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in scientific editing or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve scientific writing and engage with cutting-edge research.
