About the Senior Document Controller Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior Document Controller _Saudi National to join its team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to supporting design-led aviation projects across the Kingdom, focusing on effective document control, project administration, and coordination within multidisciplinary design teams. The role is critical for managing complex airport and aviation infrastructure programmes.

Purpose and Project Engagement

This role serves as a central point for information management, ensuring the seamless flow of documentation for significant aviation projects. The Senior Document Controller will be responsible for maintaining rigorous control over project documents and providing essential administrative support to design teams and project managers, contributing to the successful delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Establish, manage, and maintain project document control systems in adherence to WSP and client procedures.
• Register, distribute, track, and archive all project documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, correspondence, and submissions.
• Ensure accurate version control, document integrity, and timely circulation to all relevant stakeholders.
• Support document submissions to clients, authorities, and external parties, ensuring full compliance with agreed workflows and timelines.
• Provide day-to-day project administrative support to aviation design teams and project managers.
• Coordinate internal and external communications specifically related to project documentation.
• Support design review cycles, transmittals, and approval processes.
• Assist with meeting coordination, including the preparation of agendas, minutes, and action logs as required.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including architecture, engineering, planning, and specialist consultants, to facilitate smooth information flow.
• Ensure all document control activities align with project quality, audit, and governance requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data security across all project records.
• Support mobilisation, onboarding documentation, and general project administration activities as needed.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience is required.
• Proven experience as a Document Controller or Project Administrator is essential, ideally gained on aviation, infrastructure, or design-based projects.
• Experience working in the Middle East and familiarity with consultant-led design environments are considered advantageous.

The successful candidate will operate within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary design teams and project managers on significant aviation infrastructure programmes.
