About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Senior Operator, Crane for a full-time position in Dammam. This role requires a strong understanding of overhead crane operations and troubleshooting within a steel melt shop environment. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Operational Responsibilities

The Senior Operator, Crane will be responsible for the comprehensive management and execution of various critical tasks within the steel melt shop. This includes:

• Full command of overhead crane operation, including precise movement of loads and effective troubleshooting of operational abnormalities.
• Complete oversight of all Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) activities, encompassing charging, electrode management (change and making), EBT fixing, and all associated maintenance.
• Proficient management of ladle preparation, liquid metal handling, and Ladle Metallurgy Furnace (LRF) related activities, including electrode changes and all other maintenance tasks.
• Maintaining a thorough awareness of all steel melt shop operations, potential hazards, and safety protocols.

Adherence to organizational HS&E policies and safety instructions is paramount. The Senior Operator, Crane is expected to:

• Understand and comply with all organizational HS&E policies.
• Follow all job-specific safety instructions diligently.
• Report any damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machinery, or equipment to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure provided PPE is maintained in good, workable condition.
• Refrain from any horseplay and the misuse of safety devices, equipment, or welfare facilities.
• Report all accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel promptly.
• Attend all scheduled safety training sessions.
• Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for this position should possess:

• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of experience in a relevant operational role.
• A comprehensive understanding of overhead crane operation and troubleshooting within a steel melt shop context.
• Proficiency in managing all aspects of EAF and LRF operations.
• Strong awareness of steel melt shop safety procedures and hazard identification.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Dammam. The role operates within a demanding steel melt shop environment, requiring constant vigilance and adherence to strict safety protocols.
