Senior Project Engineering Manager

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to oversee construction, erection, and commissioning activities at customer sites. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and involves managing projects from site mobilization through to final commissioning. The role requires a high degree of operational judgment and influences functional approaches, project execution, and overall working methods within the business organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all activities related to construction, erection, and commissioning at customer sites, including site mobilization, assembly, and operational management.
• Oversee the testing and validation of instrument components and control systems in plants or facilities, ensuring adherence to design objectives and operational specifications. This includes both operational and performance testing.
• Develop and apply expertise within the discipline, serving as a resource for best practices and quality standards. Stay informed about the latest technical developments in the field.
• Contribute to the development of strategy and policy, ensuring effective implementation within the area of responsibility.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of best practices and the integration of the role's area into other functions, along with an understanding of market competition and company differentiators.
• Exercise judgment to resolve moderately complex tasks or problems in operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering, considering existing solutions from new perspectives.
• Analyze data using technical experience and expertise to support recommendations and decisions, drawing on multiple internal and limited external sources.
• Serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced colleagues, potentially leading small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
• Communicate difficult or confidential information effectively, working to build consensus and influence others on issues within the area of expertise.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project engineering management, particularly in construction, erection, and commissioning activities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence approaches, projects, and programs within a functional area or business organization.
• Proven capability to influence the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of a team and impact priorities.
• Strong understanding of professional practices and policies relevant to the role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
