Senior Project Engineering Manager

About the Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager for the SEC2 BULK program. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region. The role involves leading engineering design, managing supplier deliverables, coordinating stakeholder interfaces, and overseeing site execution for critical substation scope and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) interfaces. The manager will ensure that power infrastructure projects are delivered reliably, safely, and on schedule, contributing to community power and the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct engineering design activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, contracted codes, and technical standards.
• Manage planning, progress measurement, and timely release of deliverables to the Owner and EPC partners.
• Act as the primary technical interface for substation Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), local suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Resolve technical queries and ensure quality control across all subcontracts.
• Perform comprehensive technical risk assessments and support project management with data for Extensions of Time (EOT) and claims.
• Collaborate with planning teams to implement recovery options for project delays.
• Provide expert engineering support for installation, commissioning, and local supplier technical clarifications to ensure seamless site execution.
• Champion a proactive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and stop-work culture across all engineering and site activities.
• Document lessons learned and return of experience insights for continuous improvement in future project close-outs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• A strong technical foundation in power, grid, or substation engineering is required.
• Demonstrated ability to interface directly with EPCs, suppliers, and owners on fast-moving programs.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, within the Eastern region. The role requires active participation in project execution, including collaboration with various stakeholders and on-site support.
