About the Role

Genius Sports, a global sports technology company, is seeking a Sports Data Collector (Sports Scout) to join their team. This independent contractor role involves attending live sporting events to collect real-time data using proprietary software. The position is based in Dammam, within the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview

The Sports Data Collector will be responsible for attending various live sports events, including those from the Saudi Pro League and lower-profile competitions. The primary function is to accurately record play-by-play data, such as scores and key game events, in real-time. This role requires the use of mobile technology in a dynamic, live event setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled live sports events in the local area.
• Collect and record accurate, real-time game data, including scores and significant plays.
• Utilize mobile technology to input data efficiently during live events.

Required Qualifications

• A strong understanding of sports is essential.
• Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends is required.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Work Arrangement and Compensation

This is an independent contractor position offering flexible, game-based work. The compensation is a fixed payment of 62 € per game. Genius Sports will also provide reimbursement for travel and tickets.

Training and Support

Comprehensive training and testing will be provided to ensure all data collectors are proficient with the proprietary software and data collection standards. This support is designed to equip individuals for success in their role.
