About the Role

Siemens Energy is seeking a Turbo Compressor Mechanical Specialist to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role operates as a Field Service Representative (FSR), responsible for the installation and servicing of Siemens Energy, Dresser, and non-OEM compressors and auxiliary equipment globally. The specialist acts as a vital intermediary, liaising between customers and the company, and collaborating with management, sales, and technical support to ensure service integrity. The primary focus of this position is on turbo compressors, encompassing accountability for all mechanical aspects during equipment installation and overhaul during service outages.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation and overhaul of turbo compressor packages and related equipment, adhering to OEM specifications and quality standards.
• Supervise and direct teams for the complete overhaul and installation of turbo compressors according to service requirements.
• Verify OEM installation instructions and readings, including baseplate levelness and alignment, to ensure accurate setup.
• Interpret P&ID and dimensional drawings to facilitate accurate installation and fixing.
• Conduct troubleshooting Root Cause Analysis, communicate progress, schedules, and spare part recommendations to clients, and prepare detailed technical reports.
• Write comprehensive technical reports following service outages, documenting findings, actions taken, and recommendations.
• Maintain safety and foster a Zero-harm culture by following and enforcing all company and customer EHS policies.
• Perform duties on day or night shifts under difficult conditions, such as heat, cold, and noise, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications and Experience

• High School/GED diploma or an Engineering degree with equivalent years of experience.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of directly related experience in the overhaul of turbo compressor packages and associated equipment.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Technical Expertise: Extensive mechanical experience with various compressor installation and maintenance activities. Documented experience with reciprocating compressors is a plus. Sophisticated proficiency in precision measurement techniques. Fluent use of standard office software and portal-based systems for reporting.
• Leadership: Proven experience in leading teams during installations and maintenance projects.
• Communication: Excellent professional communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage in difficult discussions with customers.
• Safety and Compliance: Demonstrated adherence to all company and customer EHS policies.
• Physical Requirements: Capable of climbing ladders, working around machinery, evacuating work areas in emergencies, standing for extended periods, and walking long distances. Eligibility for offshore work with necessary medical examinations is required.
