Faculty Position in Integrated Design

The Department of Integrated Design at KFUPM is seeking to appoint faculty members at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor ranks. These contract positions are available in Riyadh and Dhahran, offering a competitive tax-free salary based on qualifications and experience.

Role Overview

This role involves contributing to the academic and research objectives of the Department of Integrated Design. The department is interested in candidates with expertise across various design disciplines, including design studies, product and industrial design, graphics and multimedia, game and interactive design, digital fabrication, digital twinning, and design engineering. Other relevant areas include design ideation and practice, design education and science, mixed-reality design, parametric and algorithmic design, and interior or space design.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses aligned with current and future academic plans for departmental programs.
• Conduct high-standard research in design and design studies.
• Lead and participate as a team member on departmental committees.
• Develop and improve departmental programs, courses, and academic plans.
• Prepare documentation for accreditation and other required submissions.

Qualifications and Experience

• An earned ** from a reputable institution in a relevant design discipline is required.
• A strong record of published research and experience supervising graduate research.
• Relevant university-level teaching experience.
• Teaching and/or industrial experience in the respective areas of design.
• Applicants with established research and teaching credentials in design-related or design science fields may be considered for senior faculty or chair professor positions.
