Electronic Warfare Senior Training Instructor

About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electronic Warfare Senior Training Instructor for a full-time position in Dhahran. This role involves close liaison with the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) EW Directorate to manage and deliver Ground EW Training courses according to the Semi-Annual Plan (SAP). The instructor will deliver various Ground EW Training courses and provide specialized advice on training methodologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with the RSAF EW Directorate point of contact to assess, prioritize, escalate, and ensure the management and delivery of Ground EW Training courses as per the Semi-Annual Plan (SAP).
• Deliver Ground EW Training, including the current EW Officer course, EW Initial lecture package, EW Refresher, and Current Operations lectures.
• Supplement Ground EW Training delivery using simulations such as Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) and Augmented Reality Mission Observation & Rehearsal (ARMOR).
• Provide ad hoc briefings on EW to the RSAF and/or Electronic Warfare Directorate (EWD) nominated individuals.
• Maintain a suitable standard of knowledge regarding developments in fields related to the post, including providing out-of-Base courses when requested by RSAF.
• Offer specialist and professional advice on best practices in training methodologies, technologies, and tools.
• Identify and work towards meaningful and practical objectives that reflect and satisfy the overall needs of the section and wider business.
• Engage in two-way communication by sharing information and listening to other parties’ views and expectations.
• Support, cooperate with, and work with others to achieve common goals and objectives.
• Adopt a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving, applying this to achieve practical solutions, and maintain a proactive and flexible approach to duties and business needs.
• Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as deemed appropriate.
• Actively participate in the development and issuance of formal reports.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of EW experience with a broad, up-to-date knowledge of EW and related technology.
• Highly experienced in the practical application of one or more of the following roles:
  • Signals Intelligence and database operation.
  • Procurement – operational requirements, trials, and training.
  • Engineering – radar/electro-optics/EW.
  • Fighter controlling (GCI/AWACS).
  • Application of active jamming.
  • Suppression of enemy air defenses.
  • EW ground/air training.
• Experienced in the structure of training systems and qualified in instructional techniques, preferably from a recognized school.
• At least 2 years of experience in classroom, synthetic, or airborne/flying instruction.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of RSAF operational experience as aircrew on multi-engine, fast jet, or rotary-wing platforms with an EW capability.
• Working knowledge and experience of EW in the airborne environment.
• Established working relationships with the RSAF.
• IT literate and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
• Experience and knowledge of RSAF practices and procedures.
• Good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design, and instruction.
• Ability to operate independently without supervision.
