About the Field Operator Pressure Pumping Role

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Operator for its Pressure Pumping team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time position involves executing operations on machined parts with a focus on high quality and working independently to meet production schedules. The role offers opportunities for skill development while working with innovative products in the energy technology sector.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Field Operator, your primary responsibility is to carry out operations on machined parts to a high degree of quality. You will be expected to work under your own initiative to meet the plant's production schedule. The role involves working with advanced energy technology products and contributing to a team that ensures the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up, monitoring, and operating multiple machines simultaneously to ensure safety and on-time delivery.
  • Performing quality assurance activities according to manufacturing or engineering specifications and ISO requirements.
  • Conducting safety and risk assessments and implementing preventive measures.
  • Assisting in the rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing equipment at the wellsite.
  • Performing pre-job inspections, function tests, and pressure testing of all equipment.
  • Monitoring pump rates, tubing depth, weight, and well parameters during operations.
  • Mixing and pumping fluids, chemicals, or nitrogen as required by the job program.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience operating nitrogen pumps is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience operating coiled tubing equipment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with coil units.
  • Experience in the rig-up and rig-down of coiled tubing equipment at the wellsite.
  • Experience mixing and pumping fluids, chemicals, or nitrogen as required for the job program is preferred.
  • Ability to operate coiled tubing unit, injector head, reel, control console, and pressure control equipment (BOP, stripper, lubricator).
  • Demonstrated ability to learn from mistakes, a strong work ethic, and the capacity to work in shifts under pressure.
  • Capability to raise maintenance requests for any major equipment breakdown.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran. The work schedule operates on a rotational shift pattern of 6 weeks on and 4 weeks off.
