Faculty Position in Organic Chemistry

Role Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to the academic and research mission of the Chemistry Department. This involves engaging with both undergraduate and graduate students, guiding their academic and research pursuits, and developing specialized research programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Organic Chemistry.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career paths.
• Supervise Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) theses and dissertations.
• Develop and secure funding for research programs aligned with the area of specialization.

Qualifications and Experience

• An earned from a reputable institution is required.
• A strong record of published research in Organic Chemistry.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising the research of graduate students.
• Relevant teaching experience at the university level.
• Teaching and/or industrial experience in the respective areas of Organic Chemistry.

Work Environment and Language

The King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. English is the medium of instruction at the University, and applicants must be fluent in English to be considered for this position.
