About the Role

Apparel Group is seeking an Area Sales Manager to oversee multiple retail stores within the Makkah region, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The primary objective of this role is to manage the operations and financial performance of multiple retail stores for one or more assigned brands within the designated area.

Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager drives sales growth, ensures exceptional customer service, and manages and develops store teams while maintaining compliance with company standards. This role involves strategic market analysis, strong financial acumen, and effective communication with senior management and Brand teams to optimize store performance, manage inventory, and implement promotion and marketing campaigns to achieve business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple fashion retail stores, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards, SOPs, policies, and loss prevention guidelines.
• Delegate tasks, assign responsibilities to store managers, and monitor progress, making decisions on operations and visual standards based on store and client needs.
• Monitor and analyze sales data and key performance indicators (Units per transaction, Average transaction value, sales per month, sales per square foot, sales turnover, shrinkage control, increase in conversion percentage), and overall financial performance, including P&L and EBITDA.
• Manage budgets, expenses, and implement cost-saving initiatives to enhance profitability.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by coaching and setting service standards for the team at all stores, conducting regular visits to assess quality and address issues.
• Utilize market insights to identify growth opportunities, staying informed about market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to develop and execute area-specific strategies.
• Act as a single point of contact with Brand Teams to uniformly implement business, marketing, and other strategy elements in stores.
• Regularly communicate with senior management, the Retail Operations Manager, Retail Buying Team, and Corporate Office, providing updates on store performance and area-wide initiatives.
• Prepare detailed reports on area performance, including successes, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
• Recruit and train staff on sales techniques, customer service, and teamwork, assessing additional training needs for optimal performance.
• Evaluate employee performance annually, promote open communication, and develop succession plans for key positions within the area.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A proven track record of 5-10 years in successfully overseeing multiple retail stores.
• Direct experience within the fashion or related retail industries is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and make decisions on operations and visual standards based on store and client needs.
