CAD Operator

About the Role

WSP is seeking a CAD Operator to support a major transport infrastructure and utilities supervision project located in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Jeddah. This full-time role requires a professional with extensive experience in transport infrastructure and utility projects, focusing on the preparation and updating of engineering drawings.

Role Purpose and Context

The CAD Operator will be responsible for the preparation, modification, and management of engineering drawings related to roads, utilities, and infrastructure works. The position involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all drawings are produced and maintained in accordance with project standards and client requirements, particularly for projects involving dry and wet utility networks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and maintain CAD drawings for roads, utilities, and infrastructure works.
• Develop and update shop drawing records, as-built drawings, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with engineers, inspectors, and project teams to incorporate design and site changes.
• Ensure compliance with project drafting standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Maintain drawing registers and document control processes.
• Support multidisciplinary coordination across utility and roadway packages.
• Review contractor-submitted CAD drawings for completeness and accuracy.
• Generate plan, profile, cross-section, and utility layout drawings.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience as a CAD Operator.
• Dominant and extensive experience in transport infrastructure and utility projects.
• Proficiency in preparing and updating engineering drawings.
• Strong experience with transport infrastructure projects involving dry and wet utility networks.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and Jeddah, supporting a major transport infrastructure and utilities supervision project. The role involves working within a team environment, coordinating with various engineering and project disciplines.
