Shangri-La Group is seeking a dedicated Chef De Partie for its prestigious Shangri-La Jeddah property, located on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea shores. This luxury hotel sets a high standard in the city, offering 203 stylish rooms and suites, 17 luxury serviced apartments, and four distinct restaurants and lounges, including the renowned Shang Palace. The property is conveniently situated near Jeddah’s popular landmarks and the Red Sea Mall, catering to guests from Jeddah, Makkah, and beyond.

The Role of Chef De Partie

The Chef De Partie will be responsible for upholding the highest standards in the preparation and service of all desert food items within their assigned kitchens. This full-time position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure culinary excellence in line with management expectations and the Shangri-La Philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

• Reflect the Shangri-La Philosophy by providing exceptional service to customers and employees, maintaining a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
• Coordinate detailed food production for restaurant and banquet services, overseeing specific duties of supervised employees.
• Continuously monitor the freshness, presentation, and temperature of all food served.
• Ensure proper control over food portioning, serving requisitions, and receiving from stores.
• Manage correct timing during service to consistently deliver food of the highest standards.
• Regularly check the quality of prepared food, focusing on taste and temperature.
• Insist on a uniform visual appearance for all dishes, ensuring presentation and garnish adhere to established standards.
• Monitor and fully implement portion control guidelines established through recipe cards and butcher tests to minimize waste and spoilage.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity within a professional kitchen environment.
