Clearance analyst

About the Role

Seara International is seeking a Clearance Analyst to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing and executing all customs clearance activities for both imports and exports. The Clearance Analyst will ensure full compliance with local regulations while working to minimize delays, penalties, and additional costs associated with shipments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review all necessary shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Coordinate effectively with relevant government authorities such as Customs, SFDA, and Ports.
• Manage the entire customs clearance process from the arrival of shipments through to their final release.
• Ensure accurate HS code classification for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Validate customs duties, taxes, and any other related charges.
• Liaise with customs brokers and clearance agents to facilitate smooth operations.
• Address and resolve shipment-related issues, including inspections, holds, and delays.
• Monitor critical shipments to reduce overall clearance lead times.
• Ensure strict compliance with all customs regulations and company policies.
• Provide periodic reports detailing clearance performance, including costs, lead times, and identified issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years and up to 7 years of experience in customs clearance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and systems, particularly FASAH and SABER in Saudi Arabia.
• Good understanding of Incoterms.
• Proven experience in dealing with various government entities.
