Communication Systems Technical Specialist

About the Role

Saudi Air Navigation Services is seeking a Communication Systems Technical Specialist to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves performing maintenance and operational activities to resolve issues within communication systems, ensuring adherence to established KPIs, budgets, and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve problems and issues related to communication systems, tools, devices, or components, ensuring item serviceability.
• Perform technical operations, restoration, and repair activities for communication systems both in the Central Workshop and on-site, applying standard instructions and procedures with required quality and timelines.
• Assess technical situations using expertise to arrange cost-effective, acceptable, and practical solutions.
• Execute both scheduled and unscheduled Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and practical solutions within the area of expertise, meeting all technical requirements.

Process Improvement and Compliance

• Provide technical recommendations for improving communication systems maintenance, including current systems and proposed future solutions (new systems, maintenance tools, or procedures) to enhance efficiency and safety.
• Comply with all relevant Safety, Quality, and Environment (SQE) procedures and controls to ensure employee health and safety, regulatory compliance, high-quality service delivery, and environmentally friendly practices.

Reporting and Documentation

• Report all relevant maintenance or repair work information to the Supervisor to ensure up-to-date records.
• Prepare and submit periodic and yearly reports on achievements and challenges related to communication systems to the Supervisor.

Policies and Procedures

• Conduct daily activities in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and processes, considering leading practices, changes in the business environment, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 6 years of relevant experience in communication systems maintenance and operations.
