Drilling Supervisor

About the Role

Golden Compass is seeking a Drilling Supervisor to oversee daily drilling operations at assigned sites. This full-time position is based in the Makkah region, specifically covering sites in Jeddah and Makkah. The role ensures all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Drilling Supervisor manages drilling crews, coordinates operational activities, monitors drilling progress, and ensures adherence to company safety and operational procedures. Key responsibilities include:

• Supervising daily drilling activities and ensuring operations follow approved plans and specifications.
• Monitoring drilling progress, reporting operational performance, and ensuring drilling targets are met.
• Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues during drilling.
• Supervising Senior Drillers, Drillers, and other drilling crew members, assigning daily tasks, and ensuring effective team coordination.
• Providing guidance and technical support to drilling crews.
• Ensuring compliance with company HSE policies and safety standards, monitoring safe work practices, and conducting daily safety briefings.
• Reporting safety incidents, hazards, and near misses.
• Ensuring proper operation and maintenance of drilling rigs and equipment, coordinating with maintenance teams for servicing and repairs.
• Monitoring the use of drilling fluids, materials, and equipment, and ensuring drilling sites are organized and safe.
• Maintaining daily drilling reports and operational records, documenting progress and issues, and submitting reports to the Drilling Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess relevant experience in drilling operations and team management. The role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and operational efficiency.

• 5-10 years of experience in drilling operations.
• Proven ability to supervise drilling crews and coordinate operational activities effectively.
• Strong knowledge of drilling plans, project specifications, and operational procedures.
• Familiarity with HSE policies and safety standards in drilling environments.
• Experience in maintaining operational documentation and reporting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the Makkah region, with operations spanning across Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves on-site supervision of drilling activities, requiring a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
